The Volkswagen Training Institute in Zwickau is a Centre of Excellence for professional training, further education and consulting partner to the Automotive and supplies industries, and to businesses from other sectors. Every year, over 7,000 participants are educated and trained in various disciplines, of which 60% for the Volkswagen locations in Zwickau, Chemnitz and Dresden. In addition, the Volkswagen Training Institute is the preferred partner of domestic and foreign businesses for consulting in modern management methods, organisation, staff development as well as technical training. With their innovative concepts in the field of adult education, the VTI offers companies from Saxony the opportunity to meet pro-actively the demographic evolution in the company.
As a subsidiary of Volkswagen Saxony Gmbh, the Training Institute, with locations in Zwickau, Crossen and Chemnitz is financially independent. In order to establish an even more efficient cost management in the future, Dr. Holger Naduschewski, General Manager at the Volkswagen Training Institute asked Rüdiger Kroll from Expense Reduction Analysts to analyse and optimise various cost categories. For each of these cost categories, Kroll brought on a category expert.
First, Expense Reduction Analysts compared all existing costs and supplier structure with the consumption. Adherence to the high quality standards of the VTI was of particular importance. After in-depth analysis, Expense Reduction Analysts confirmed that the current level of costs was very good.
On this basis, Expense Reduction Analysts invited selected suppliers – including current suppliers – to a tender for each cost categories. As a result of the tender, Volkswagen Training Institute decided to continue the collaboration with some suppliers; for other cost categories, they chose to change providers. The cost savings achieved were between 6 and 22%.
"I find the Expense Reduction Analysts model very good, as I only have to pay if there are tangible results. I would be happy to recommend Expense Reduction Analysts."
