YMCA of Greater Seattle saves $341,000+
With an operating budget of $54.2 million, the YMCA of Greater Seattle is one of the Pacific Northwest’s leading nonprofit organizations. The Y operates 12 branches and two overnight camps, fulfilling its mission to support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Senior management believed there were many unrealized opportunities to leverage their buying power potential. The CFO asked Expense Reduction Analysts (ERA) to help them achieve the full benefits of coordinated purchasing.
These benefits surpassed their expectations – $341,175 identified savings to date. ERA also negotiated new contract terms with vendors on behalf of the Y, resulting in consistency in pricing and contract end dates. ERA Consultants will continue to look for opportunities to optimize the Y’s procurement practices and identify additional savings over the next 24 months.
