To honour this year’s International Women’s Day, we wanted to take time out of our busy schedule to celebrate the incredibly talented women that work within Expense Reduction Analysts. Our global network of experts and support staff is made from a rich tapestry of individuals from all walks of life, each of whom brings their own personal experience and personality to the ERA brand.

International Women’s Day (March 8th) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland.

Having achieved success throughout the past 26 years, Expense Reduction Analysts continues to experience tremendous growth, with successful female professionals being in great demand to help drive the brand forward and ensure its future.

The 2019 theme for International Women’s Day is “Balance for Better” with the hashtag #BalanceforBetter being used across all social media channels to raise awareness and to help drive positive change throughout the world.

As part of this year’s IWD, we wanted to share experiences from women within our business; details about them, their careers and their roles within ERA. Their comments have been compiled below from a range of job roles based in our European support centre located in Kings Hill, West Malling.

Jasmine Havloujan – Marketing Assistant

I’m Jasmine Havloujan – I’m a Marketing Assistant at ERA. I’m just finishing my 3rd week at the company and I already feel pretty settled. As ERA is a Franchise, my role revolves around supporting the business owners and consultants who make up our network, through Marketing. This includes assisting with appointment generation through a mix of print, digital marketing, design, CRM software and other marketing tools.

Now 23 years old, I feel as if I have come a long way since my first ever job as a waitress at 16 – (nothing wrong with being a waitress I loved it at the time!). Last summer, I graduated from the University of Sussex with a First-Class Honours Degree in Marketing and Management – named the top 10% of my academic year. Whilst this achievement was a one of my proudest moments, securing a placement year at IBM as part of my university course was also a highlight. Competition for the role was high and during my time at the international firm I was able to gain and improve on many skills which helped me greatly with future employment. In terms of goals, one day I would like to be appointed a managerial role and be respected as a knowledgeable and successful individual. For my personal goals, my main one is to see the world… 40 countries and counting!

Katie Stead – Accountant

After studying Admin, accounts & IT at college in 2007, I started my career in Admin for a solicitors firm for 3 years but was always interested in having a career in Accounting. Once I was able to get a junior role within an accounts department at a college in 2010, I started my AAT studies. Once partly qualified I moved on to work for an insurance company in 2012 where I was able to progress my skills and continue my studies to become AAT qualified. When the role became available at ERA in 2016, I jumped at the chance to be more involved in the management accounts side of things and be able to put my AAT qualification into practice.

Tabitha Banbury – Sales and Marketing Coordinator

I joined ERA following redundancy from a construction firm, where I oversaw the coordination of sales and on-site installations, following a career co-ordinating various activities in various industries.

Here at ERA I oversee our Vertical Sales and Marketing Initiative, working alongside members of the Network to bring knowledge and experience together to create marketing campaigns designed to showcase how ERA can add value to our clients, through investigating cost savings and providing solutions to procurement challenges.

Emma Clark – Compliance and Office Coordinator

Prior to joining ERA 7 years ago I worked for 3 large Banking Groups ABN Amro, Lehman Brothers and Lloyds mainly in the Procurement Departments. One of my Career high Lights was working in the Global project team while at Lehman’s to bring online a Financial Management Solutions system that was used throughout the Network this was a huge task but as a team we completed on time and had a successful implantation across the board. I have worked in the Compliance Team at ERA since 2012 it has been a steep learning curve as very different to my previous roles, I enjoy the varied tasks and getting to work with many of our Franchisees across the Network.
